Deni BogutovacWell i know that FB is know for shutting down FB ad accounts if they found some ads they dont like by their TOS.. like if you created ad 1 year ago , and it was not active at all.. and they change their TOS they scan your account and shut it down. So i wouldn't be suprised if they are scanning ad accounts for "quality score"? :(35 minutes ago

Here's a look at the mind map I set up for my new Advertising Manager that started this week. He's just learning the system and has never done Facebook advertising before. So, I have lots to teach him.

This is a small break down of the questions we're asking ourselves each phase as I will be explaining it to him on Monday.

Don't worry too much about the type of ads I have listed in the mind map. We're doing a lot of testing with our variations and this represents one variable... but the phase questions are relevant to all.

Hey guys,

need help with this FB report of my PPE ads?

So this is result of one of campaign that i ran this month on SF.. it's sort of success cause at the moment i'm profiting "only" $50 day average, while at the beggining i had average $100 days.

Main problem here, beside that i didn't split test earlier, is that SF has a SHIT analyics where i really can't see actual conversion per my URL tags history, and also can't see where i sold hoodies or shirts.. so i have to look on this FB pixel conversion numbers.

I also screwed here cause i was focusing most of the time on PPE ads variations and retargeting.. just last week i had created WC's that i can measure conversions in dumb SF dashboard.

Number 1 is my initial test adset with shirt, number 2 is hoodie PPE post (so these conversions should have more value), 3 is lookalike audience, others are some demographic and interes groups i ran.

What you think off-the bat, are the adsets should be killed and what are the ones you think i should give more chance?

Travis Petelle6,9, & 10 I would definitely turn off. others look okay... some testing or different promotion angles might work for them. I suggest you set up an ecommerce site of your own instead of selling through SunFrog. You'll have much more control and even be able to get affiliates to sell your shirts... plus the shirts can just be drop shipped through sunfrog.2 hours ago   ·  2
Deni BogutovacThanks Travis , yes that's my definitive plan to setup own site, but still "saving" these earnings to do that..and waiting for your next awesome webinar! ;)2 hours ago   ·  2
Deni BogutovacSF has some advantages, like i sell a lot "side designs" when promoting, so i find ideas for niches, but i really don't like lot of stuff there like SF not having decent tracking and really expensive hoodie shipping ($9 US) that causes cart abandoning rate skyhigh and kills conversions. :/2 hours ago   ·  2
Azzy DGHow do you track cart abandoning? Deni2 hours ago   ·  1
Deni BogutovacAzzy DG i look at this with google analytics code that i have installed on SF. i managed to figure how to setup goals and funnels in GA but i'm still lost with other trackings (like how to exactly know when they abandoned it cause of hoodie shipping price or something else). Have set /cartview page, /checkout page and /thank you page tracking there. So i see there is a big gap there on SF in comparison with my TS campaigns.2 hours ago   ·  1

Hi Travis, hope you having a fantastic and happy weekend :) I need to your thoughts and suggestion on whether Optimizepress can be the right tool for designing an e-commerce site for marketing gemstones. I haven't bought it yet, but would like to your opinion on whether its features and functionality is designed for a robust e-commerce site integrated with a shopping cart, Trust Features among other e-commerce features. I will appreciate if you have any additional suggestions on the best platform or resources for building a robust and professional e-ecommerce site.
Lastly, which resources are great to enhance trust in an e-commerce site? For instance, when in it comes to payment, I have seen most e-commerce site have McFee security badges, or Better Bureau certification or badge.

Will highly appreciate your insights. Thanks :)

Travis PetelleI suggest you go with Shopify at your skill level in this stuff. It's very easy to use and gives you an authority/trusted site. So this happened - I have 4 campaigns running at the moment, at 700, 200, 80, 150 sold.... all have 3 more days left.

No new ads no nothing...
Then, I tried to add another payment method (my CC ontop of the current paypal), and as I do this, my ads account got blocked due to "unusual activity." and for "security reasons"...

Sent FB an email, but you know how slow they are...

Any suggestions?

Roger MancheElad when it happened to me I "only" had to follow the steps described on the page where they ask you to confirm your identity. There should be a link in that warning message, when you click on it you'll be able to send them your ID (passport or ID cart). I was back to rock 'n roll within 24 hours. It happened twice to me. Once using different IP addresses to login to fb and once when I added a second payment method to an ad account. That payment method was already in use on a prior ad account so that's what triggered the "unusual activity". LESSON LEARNED: never mess with your ad account (change account info and or payment methods) while you have active campaigns. Just to be safe in case they (temporarily) disable the ad account.2 days ago   ·  2
Elad DaskalThanks Roger Manche, obviously I followed the steps needed, but from accounting point of view, I needed to split payments sources and add another payment method. As I'm using the Business Manager, there shouldn't be an issue adding several payment methods (the whole idea of Business Manager is that you'll be able to manage several accounts for clients, etc...). I'm on emails with a FB representative a friend introduced me to, hope it'll be sorted fast :)2 days ago   ·  1
Azzy DGGood luck! :)2 days ago   ·  1
Roger MancheIndeed with the new Business Manager it should not be a problem using multiple payment sources on one ad account and have the same payment source on multiple accounts. I believe this is only possible by first adding this payment source under Payment Methods section in your Business Manager and then choosing this source as primary funding source in the individual ad accounts. I had this "accounting" problem a few weeks back. Billing threshold at 5k, but then found out my card had a daily limit of 2.5k... I asked them to manually bill my card in 2 installments. Than I had the threshold lowered again to stay within my cards daily limit. I would like to know how others resolve this luxury problem? Do you use a cc with a higher daily spend limit? Do you use paypal as payment method? Other options?2 days ago
Elad Daskalmmmmm using paypal... My accounting issue is different lol :) Taxes issues my accountant advised separated accounts and so on..... Problems of growing :P :P :P2 days ago   ·  2
Roger MancheAh interesting ;-)2 days ago
Travis PetelleThey are just checking on your account it sounds like. You get put through this ringer when you spend money. $1k/day in ads doesn't even show up as a dot on their radar. So you'll be treated the same as if this is your first ad uploaded. Just fill out the form they send you every two days until they reply. They'll get to you. It sounds like you are fine, but they'll now find any discrepancies you may have gotten away with in the ads thus far. So hopefully you have no illegal custom audiences and stuff like that or you will be not happy about the result. Get a backup account. It's the only way to prevent these pauses. Good luck man2 days ago   ·  3

Hi Travis, Hope you well. I'm finally planning to launch my first Teespring campaign in the coming week, as well as setting up a business manager to manage campaigns for my client. Would like to seek clarification, I heard that using email serrvice providers such as gmail, hotmail and yahoo are responsible for accounts being banned. How true is that? I had that Facebook prefers business manager to have an email for instance, kevin@example.com rather than using gmail or hotmail. What's your take on it? I was thinking to start with my gmail account email then proceed to use a more professional in the coming months. Your response will be highly appreciated :) Thanks ...

Travis Petelleexactly... once you figure out adverting, the sky is the limit. You can literally sell anything. As far as tshirts go, the bubble will definitely burst. It won't be because people will stop buying tshirts though... it will end up having something to do with FB and their advertising rules would be my guess. My suggestion would be to use this bubble we are in to grow your assets. I use the easy traffic and sales to grow email lists and I am definitely growing a long term tshirt brand along side the one off sales. So even if FB disappears, I have a tshirt company that people come to organically. There are lots of options for sure. I talk about this process in the Fan Page Empires Workshop and will be launching some content on this process more so in march-June3 days ago   ·  3

For instance, lets say a marketer has several Fanpages to manage and nurture, how does one effectively and effeciently manage engagements from Fans? Is there a software for this type of work, since its time-consuming to reply to every comment/queries etc in every Fan pages? thanks :)1 week ago

Hey Guys!....almost 21 days into 2015 & I wish nothing but health & wealth to all of you!

Question, for my DIY shirt launching designers.....I'm having a hell of a time trying to detect the total number of colors in a png design in photoshop......HOW?!

C level designer sent back an awesome design with too many colors. It takes too long to wait for modification/redo.....need to learn how to quick fix myself.

Cool thing about Adobe Illustrator is that you can "Add Used Colors" inside of the swatches window to detect all the colors inside of your design......Haven't figured out how to do the same in Photoshop.
Searching YouTube now.

Anyone can tell me how to.....AUTO DETECT the TOTAL NUMBER OF COLORS in a PNG DESIGN inside photoshop?!

thx,

love.

Patrick MaloneWhy aren't they just using 1-2 colors? They should know how to do this based on the specifications you give them.2 weeks ago   ·  1
Patrick MaloneAnother thing trying to do designs yourself is gonna cost you more money then just outsourcing it all. I've learned this and now I'm outsourcing every part of my business.2 weeks ago   ·  2

Eric Martellove your comment Patrick Malone!....i can dig it....hustling to get to a place were I can work ON my business vs what I'm currently doing...working IN my business. thx for reminding me. but still...my principle is "lead from the front"...otherwise whose gonna want to follow you?2 weeks ago
Patrick MaloneYou're leading the business and putting the right people in place. I'm not a designer by any means but I know what needs to be done and what sells. It's the designers job to do it. Make sense? I don't need to know all the how too's. I just need to know it gets done and done right.2 weeks ago   ·  1
Rob ColeHi, a quick way of detecting the colors is to upload to teespring and then click the color box. It will show the colors that are in use.2 weeks ago   ·  1

Azzy DGdo you pause your campaign or just lower budget? Travis Petelle2 weeks ago   ·  2
Travis Petellepause.. some people suggest lowering budget for ctw ads. it supposedly might help your ads edge rank if you don't turn it off... but thats not been proven to be that effective in my testing just yet2 weeks ago   ·  1
Azzy DGI used to pause my ads but when I continue them the ad cost rise up. What about yours?2 weeks ago

Travis Petelleyes, as of now... but that's mostly because I'm training my ad manager still and like to start them off doing every piece before i start teaching software that can handle things like that1 week ago
Ryan C Brownwould you recommend using www.qwaya.com/1 week ago
Travis Petelleyes, to manage ads for posting times and such, qwaya is good. I'm still playing around with both Qwaya and AdEspresso on which tool I like better for ad management1 week ago   ·  1
Ryan C Brownwill look forward to your suggestion in future,Heard Qwaya is better .1 week ago   ·  1
Ryan C Brownalso read conversion fall if we use external tools.1 week ago   ·  1
Travis Petellei doubt that they fall since every major advertiser uses them1 week ago
Matt BaheI've been using Qwaya for about 3 months now Ryan C Brown. It definitely has a learning curve and I would not recommend that beginners use it. It's a prime example of what Bill Gates said: "The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.” I do like it more than Ad Espresso because unlike Ad Espresso it doesn't put ad spend limits on you.1 week ago   ·  4

Good Morning Guys!

Question....When segmenting a large audience based on gender & age, how long to you wait to kill a poor preforming ad? I have a few new ads with a reach of under 500, some with low CPE & high PPE, others not so much.....Not sure If I should kill the losers now or let it deliver to more people to get a better sample size?

Travis PetelleI like to wait $20 ad spend on each ad before making a decision... but this is only if the ad isn't doing horrible. If you can tell an ad absolutely sucks after $5, then by all means, shut that sucker off. The more ads you run, the more you'll be able to recognize what's going on. Also, I like to have a minimum of 2500 reach for any single ad.2 weeks ago   ·  5
